The ecliptic now

This map shows the position of the sky lights observable by an amateur astronomer, and their apparent orbits in 30 days (except the Moon, whose period is 26 days) in the ecliptic, beginning at 0h UTC of the current day. The divisions for the Sun, Mercury and Venus are each two days, Mars, each three days, those of Jupiter and Saturn, each 5 days and the Moon, each half day. The orbits of Uranus and Neptune are not shown because their very slow apparent motion. The orbits of other bodies will be shown if they are of interest. The small circle indicates the position of the Earth's shadow cone, opposite the Sun.
